Juno captures new images of the red spot

The Juno probe has captured new images of the red spot on Jupiter's surface, which may help scientists see why it is continuously shrinking.

According to a statement published on the official site of the US space agency "NASA", according to historians, discovered the Italian astronomer Giovanni Cassini large red spot, and painted in 1665.

Next, planetary scientists discovered that the Red Spot was a strong hurricane whose winds were moving at an incredible speed of 430 kilometers per hour. The temperature difference between its cold and hot regions exceeds several hundred degrees. According to astronomers, the large red spot is a heater that draws heat from the inside of the buyer and releases it into the atmosphere, so the temperatures are higher than the theory assumes. This issue has been confirmed by the Juno probe devices recently.

The dimensions of the spot can not be measured in kilometers, but in diameter, where they are 1.3 times wider than the earth. Knowing that in the past they were wider than the Earth by about three times. Scientists have not yet determined why the spot is small and how

The Juno probe has been studying Jupiter since 2015 and is likely to help answer this question by studying the composition of the planet's nucleus, especially around the large red spot and other hurricanes. The probe approaches the planet every two months, records information about its magnetic field, and takes new images from different angles of hurricanes, clouds and gas buildup. It was his last stop at the end of last July, taking pictures of the big red spot from an unusual angle, where the spot appears like a sun rising or falling in the sky.
